* ~9 u' Q: s0 Q0 y公仔箱論壇Totally agree. It's proper and very common to ask someone if he or she can speak a language, such as do you speak French or Chinese (in this case, Chinesse is a language). Asking about a specific dialect is usually a follow up question.
