once wong is elected, today's situation has been predicted. It just reflected the quality of today's hong kong ppl, esp those eligible to elect. They did not take enough consideration on the outcome about who they elected (well... maybe they are not well-educated on that) so that they may only elect one by that a candidate's speech looks like sound and is what they need. However, they have not taken consideration on whether the candidate's attitude is helpful when participating in the government.
Besides, on the issue of the elder allowance, it may be a bit hash to the elderly for having the examination on their income but it still needs a serious consideration. Some said the donation to China can be in thousand millions and was done quickly but the elder allowance is treated like that. However, I think it is very logical. The disaster in China was really serious and the donation was needed in emergency. At that moment, most of the hong kong ppl also donated to the sufferers no matter what their financial situation is. If the government had not donated, it was still blamed on its hardness and blind on the disaster. Also, the donation is a lump sum payment that only reduced the immediate cash in the government but that is not a long term expense. Nonetheless, the elder allowance is a long term expense for the government and the aging problem will bring the amount of such expense up. In today's global financial difficulties, the increase in government expenditure which cannot provide the improvement on the unemployment rate has a possibility to increase the bearing of the middle income group.
ps this is just my feeling and opinion after hearing about such issue and reading the above posts and there is no meaning on any offense. Also, i'm not sure those terms so pls dont if any wrong |
