Jordan went right around the outside of the pack at the first corner and took the karting line through Deene hairpin, which gave him the inside line on Jason Plato’s Triple Eight MG at Yentwood and a lead he wouldn’t surrender.' T2 O1 g6 k6 t( E9 a+ S
After a long safety car period following first-lap carnage which eliminated five cars, Jordan extended his lead to win ahead of the charging pair of Mat Jackson and Rob Austin, on a track which was drying throughout.

Lea Wood took Jack Sears Trophy honours in his JWT Performance Vauxhall Vectra after passing David Nye at Pif Paf on the final lap. Wood pitted for slicks at the end of the green flag lap, and the track came to him throughout, enabling him to close down a big gap to Nye’s Welch Motorsport Ford Focus.

The aforementioned safety car was triggered when Dan Welch span in his Proton Persona at Gracelands and was collected by Andy Neate’s IP Tech Race Chevrolet Cruze, who couldn’t avoid him. Tom Onslow-Cole also got caught up in the accident in his Motorbase Performance Ford Focus, and retired in the pits with damage.

Austin, who had a slow start, passed Collard at Gracelands on lap 11, and out-accelerated Newsham out of the last corner to take fifth. He dispatched Plato for fourth at Brook on lap 16, before setting the fastest lap on the penultimate tour and passing Shedden at the death.2 W. @: j$ V1 B
