There were also newspaper reports that the number of registered voters aged 60-65, considered more likely to vote for pro-Beijing parties, has increased by 50%. Meanwhile voter registration in the 30-40 age group has dropped by more than 10%, which is bad news for democrats. In the functional constituencies, loopholes mean that eligible corporate voters are registered at single addresses. It’s going to be an intensely fought election.
