總稽查司丹斯里安比林指出，由於政府部門及機構錯誤計算薪金及津貼，導致一些公務員多領薪水，單單在去年，政府多付給公務員的薪水就高達440億1000萬令吉。

他說，算錯錢的“禍首”是過時的服務記錄，令當局難以正確計算支付給國內逾100萬名公務員的薪金及津貼。

報告說，付款系統處理程序存在許多人為疏失，政府部門及機構彼此缺乏協調，而追收多付款項的情況也沒有獲得監督。
