Dirge for Two Veterans from Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman (1900)

The last sunbeam
Lightly falls from the finish’d Sabbath,* u% K/ I  O  L% ~- O: ]' w3 g

Up from the east, the silvery round moon;

The sorrowful vast phantom moves illumin’d;
(’Tis some mother’s large, transparent face,
