Never satisfied with the stock products of the Volkswagen Group, ABT Sportline presented its take on the new Audi R8 Spyder 5.2 V10 at this week's Geneva Show. The German tuner's treatment revamps both the look and the performance of the two-seater roadster.
ABTSportsline starts with the R8 Spyder's 5.2-liter V10 engine thatreceives a 75HP bump for a total output of 600HP allowing the car tomake the run to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds and top out 320km/h or 199 mph.
A sport suspension with newsprings and a choice of 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped inhigh-performance tires are also available for the R8 Spyder.
Onthe outside, ABT Sportsline added a bodykit that includes a uniquegrille, a new front bumper with a lip spoiler, side skirts, a new rearbumper that houses a different diffuser and four tail pipes, and afixed rear wing, all trimmed in carbon fiber.
Thetuner also brought along a few other modded Audis to Geneva includingthe 620HP R8 GTR Coupe and a kitted-out A8 limo (see photos below). |
