Warwickshire family pet dog's bites did not kill owner

A woman found dead at home with bite marks on her face was not killed by the family dog, tests have found.

She had wounds where the dog, thought to be a bull mastiff-Staffordshire bull terrier cross, had bitten her face.

A post-mortem test found she died of natural causes and was bitten after she died. Warwickshire Police said it was not treating the death as suspicious.% G2 X t; f6 c& r3 w

An elderly German Shepherd dog that was in another room in the house was not involved in the incident, police said.
