Earlier, Syed Zainal Abidin in his speech mentioned that Proton will emphasise on “Cheap selling price with cheap maintenance parts” principle to prevent having problems with expensive parts for cheap cars.

幸好小弟已经把手头上的两辆PROTON车卖了，换了两辆TOYOTA，虽然价钱贵了些，总好过国产车，不是国产车品质不好，只是他们的工程师没时间去检查，但是一个世界知名品牌的TOYOTA一天不知生产多少辆汽车，他们却又时间去检查每一辆车，一旦出了问题，还勇敢的站出来承认错误，免费维修给客户，这就是为什么TOYOTA的车可以卖到全世界，PRONTON却不能。

Toyota以车主为本，顾客的安全、舒适、及经济都是他们所考量的！而马来西亚的Proton，是以金钱及利益为主，98秒生产一部车，一部载着人命的工具，生产时间竟然比炒粿条的时间还要短！！如此的垃圾竟然卖给自家的人民，拿人民的性命当赚钱的一部分！所有的国产车车主，请恕我直言！毕竟买垃圾车，不是我们想的！我们是被逼的！税！
