Hidden files main purpose is hidden from user to prevent accidently delete of important system files. If you really want to see it, go to Folder Options select View tab, Hidden files and folders choose Show hidden files and folders apply and ok. The hidden files & folders will show as more lighter colour.

Maybe your system setting set to automatically reset to default setting once you restart!
