mix 2 cup of bread flour, 1 tbp baking powder, 2 tsp active yeast , 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup water.
mix well and knead till soft if its sticky add flour till soft.
roll dough about 1/2 inch thick, and rectangular, let dough rest for about 1 hour.
cut the dough in strips about one inch wide.
brush water on one strip and place another strip on top, press the middle and pull gently to about 6 to 8 inches long and deep fried into a very hot pot of oil. this should work and the simplest way to make yul ja kwai. |
