I know there is some way to protect the plants from freeze or frost by spray the tree canopy with water.

There's a scene in a movie, when frosts threatened a wineyard, they have workers waving torches in between the rows all night long to protect the crop.  I thought that's exagerating too.  But what do I know le?  I dont have a green thumb.
