評審覺得用「鱗翅目昆蟲騎在硬皮昆蟲上」形容性愛，實在太沒品了，但薩默維爾很有風度，對於得到這個「獎勵」，他說，「沒有什麼比最差性愛更屬於英國的了。」(There is nothing more English than bad sex)
