It doesn't look like a full size crocodile. So probably a young adult. Still, you don't see this often. As for why a crocodile is in such a dry place, could the crocodile be in drying water hole and getting tired? Could explain why a cheetah would win against a crocodile that is as big or bigger than itself.

I agree that is not a full size crocodile, so it doesn't get strong enough to protect itself from the attack of leopard.
