Take a plane to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), then transfer the flight to Zhangjiajie Airport (DYG).
Guangzhou (广州) take a train to Zhangjiajie (张家界).
Use your GPS and drive there.
You missed out join the tour / get a personal guide / charter a flight etc.
