worked like a charm to me, but if you want to know... Apple has recently patched the loophole with iOS 4.0.2 which currently no one can jailbreak it, so if you wish and if you know how, try to jailbreak it with jailbreakme.com if you are on 4.0.1 and don't try to update to 4.0.2 until someone else comes up with a Jailbreak solution...   Jailbreakme.com works so well on my phone, it's the easiest and fastest jailbreak I have ever done on my 3gs :)  dummy proof I would say if you have common sense :)  do read up about jailbreaking first before you attempt to do so, I don't take any responsibilities. :)
