Tom Coronel took victory in the WTCC’s 200th race, after beating fellow BMW man, Mehdi Bennani, to the chequered flag in race two at Suzuka.

The Coronel/Bennani battle was a race-long affair, as both drivers once again took advantage of the BMW’s strong start to lead from the front row.

On lap 17, Coronel got the advantage after diving down the inside of the Moroccan driver going into the second right-hand corner, and allowed him to secure the victory at the end of the 26-laps. o, x! o$ R; Z8 s# |+ C* F5 K" v" k

This is also the Dutchman’s fourth WTCC career victory.

The newly crowned 2013 WTCC champion, Yvan Muller, was knocked off at the start after starting down in the midfield; his RML Chevrolet ending its weekend in the barriers.
