I applaud the response of the priest as many devout Christians are too ready to believe in miracles. #so7  makes an interesting point as Christianity has its origin in Judaism which abhors any image of God. The development of Christianity, especially Catholicism into a faith that entails relics, records of miracles, idols of saints and magnificent  churches surely leaves something to ponder.
