Himalayan cats are of the Persian family with coat colors of a Siamese that borrows heavily from the Persian side The term “Himalayan“ is used for any animal with a restricted coat pattern like a pale coat and color only on the cooler parts of the body such as ears, muzzle, paws and tail.
