I am using 24-70mm f/2.8L. I don't know how good is the 24-105mm f/4.0L IS. If only look at f/2.8 and f/4.0, no doubt f/2.8 is the winner. So far I am very happy about the 24-70mm f/2.8L.It worth a single penny.
