The name 悉尼 has been used as the official name for Sydney for at least six to seven years now, when pronounced in Mandare in, it's a much closer translation of Sydney compare to 雪梨 . Just like the name Beijing instead of Peking for 北京 in English. However, in a Chinese restaurants, if you try to order a Beijing Duck, the waiter wouldn't know what you are trying to order though. 9 Z) H. r. ?. G H公仔箱論壇 % k. The first one is either from the Sydney Botanic Garden or at the Hyde Park, they are both very nice spots to relax and have a leisurely sunbake during the lunch break for many Sydneysiders.公仔箱論壇( n9 S9 ~" V( d! G4 B
Then there is the famous Sydney Opera House taken from the western side.公仔箱論壇. } v7 o: Q. _) h4 Z: p/ K- Y) l
Followed by two photos of the snow fields at Perisher Valley, not much snow yet, give it another 4 to 5 weeks, then it would be right into the skiing season. , ?7 f: C+ S; T2 v公仔箱論壇Then there are the Bondi Beach, if you venture to the eastern side, well, there you will find a lot of women sunbaking topless; no fuss, as men do it all the time.7 K% u+ v+ _- E9 ~ k1 Q9 P
Then we are heading north toward central coast up, about an hour and a half drive from Sydney, we get to the a place call The Entrance, a really nice spot, the ranger feed the Pelicans twice a day, quite an interesting sight. Great fish and chips shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice fishing spot too. . _" N7 N1 Y- Q1 t
Here we are back to Sydney at the St Andrew's Cathedral, an Anglican church next to the Sydney townhall.tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb5 H& Y! \/ S0 d( J+ O
The last one is specially for the shopaholics. The renovated Queen Victoria Building, there used to be an up market Chinese restaurant inside, but it's now turned into another shop.
