The name 悉尼 has been used as the official name for Sydney for at least six to seven years now, when pronounced in Mandare in, it's a much closer translation of Sydney compare to 雪梨 . Just like the name Beijing instead of Peking for 北京 in English. However, in a Chinese restaurants, if you try to order a Beijing Duck, the waiter wouldn't know what you are trying to order though. $ ]& k! The first one is either from the Sydney Botanic Garden or at the Hyde Park, they are both very nice spots to relax and have a leisurely sunbake during the lunch break for many Sydneysiders.( l* ], v7 V0 w9 ^
Then there is the famous Sydney Opera House taken from the western side. 7 q( W8 u0 Z; h y7 \0 U, BFollowed by two photos of the snow fields at Perisher Valley, not much snow yet, give it another 4 to 5 weeks, then it would be right into the skiing season. & Z1 a5 M( ~: L! V l5.39.217.76Then there are the Bondi Beach, if you venture to the eastern side, well, there you will find a lot of women sunbaking topless; no fuss, as men do it all the time.: m' H. r% i5 ? x
Then we are heading north toward central coast up, about an hour and a half drive from Sydney, we get to the a place call The Entrance, a really nice spot, the ranger feed the Pelicans twice a day, quite an interesting sight. Great fish and chips shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nice fishing spot too. 4 I9 g1 K# o; J. Ytvb now,tvbnow,bttvbHere we are back to Sydney at the St Andrew's Cathedral, an Anglican church next to the Sydney townhall. 8 G3 F! The renovated Queen Victoria Building, there used to be an up market Chinese restaurant inside, but it's now turned into another shop.
