行業分析師 Ross Young 向 9to5Mac 透露，Apple 公司在其 2024款 M4 MacBook Pro 中首次引入了量子點薄膜 Mini LED 面板技術，這一創新並未在官方宣傳材料中被提及。

據 Young 的說法，這是 Apple 首次在其產品中使用量子點顯示技術。Apple 選擇了一種不含鎘（Cd）的量子點薄膜，這種材料通常不用於電視製造，而是被 Apple 首次應用於其 MacBook Pro 系列。

與傳統的紅色 KSF 螢光膜解決方案相比，這種新型材料更為環保。Young 指出，新面板在性能、色域覆蓋以及環保性方面都有顯著提升，並且在動態畫面表現上也有所增強。根據 Apple 官網資料，M4 MacBook Pro 的最大SDR 亮度提升至 1000nits，相較於 2021 至 2023 款的 600nits 有了提高。
值得一提的是，儘管採用了量子點技術，但 M4 MacBook Pro 的基礎顯示技術依然沿用 IPS 面板搭配 Mini LED 背光。至於傳聞中的 OLED MacBook Pro，預計還需等待數年才能與大家見面。
