廿一世紀的楚慈陰差陽錯回到父親楚帆年少氣盛時的六十年代，父子情搖身變了兄弟情，楚慈獲楚帆好心收留後，因而結識了麵檔縮骨老闆高山泉，潑辣包租婆譚蘭青、鬥氣小情人程蘭芬及千金小姐梁翩翩。楚慈得罪人多，稱呼人少，令同屋共住如斂財沙展牛正榮等人皆對他神憎鬼厭，只有楚帆一直處處維護他，又介紹他到百貨公司工作，但好大喜功的楚慈一如過往，只懂埋怨父親作風守舊、損己利人的性格，更不慎連累同屋共住幾乎無家可歸。
