The future of Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United continues to be shrouded in mystery as he continues to stay away from the club's training ground.

Roeder: Dismayed.

Keegan has been unseen on Tyneside since Monday, with Tuesday seeing an outpouring of Geordie grief amdid reports that Keegan had been sacked by owner Mike Ashley after a row with sporting director Dennis Wise and managing director Derek Lambias over transfer policy.
Despite a public statement from the club that Keegan remains boss of the club, it seems likely that he will soon once again become an ex-boss of the club, with his continuing absence adding to that seeming inevitability.
Predecessor Glenn Roeder, sacked by the club in the summer of 2007, just prior to Ashley's takeover of the club, spoke of his dismay at the chaos the club finds itself in.

Roeder, currently in charge at Norwich, told BBC Radio Five Live: 'The club is a tragedy and it goes from one disaster to another.
'There's no stability at the club and I don't think there has been for a long time. They go from one manager to another and the people who suffer the most are the most important people, the supporters.
Roeder added: 'When they talk about Newcastle being a great club, it's only great for one reason - because it has great supporters.'
