These are comparisons based on the easiest methods toward encoding HD 720p, without the use of 2 Pass if its something that cannot be done automatically, and the results are overall whats achieved with each codec.

Source is the original 江若琳 - 你不在了 1920x1080 "interlaced" H.264-AAC in MP4 Container untouched

Tdeint + EDI Interpolated Deinterlace and Bicubic Resize down to 1280x720p

DivX - 4000kbps ABR 1 Pass
XviD - 4000kbps ABR 1 Pass
RMVB - 4000kbps VBR 2 Pass
x264 - 4000kbps ABR 2 Pass

192kbps 44.1khz LAME MP3 used for DivX/XviD
192kbps Stereo RealAudio for RMVB
Untouched AAC Audio from Source at 192kbps (Thanks to MKV Container)

XviD v1.2 - VAQ Version (Multithread Enabled on Q6600)
