【簡介】：


   《真愛如血》（True Blood）改編自Charlaine Harris的小說《南方吸血鬼》（Southern Vampire），這一創舉由《六英尺下》（Six Feet Under）的創造者Alan Ball締造。難產三年，終於破繭，是Alan Ball返回HBO的新作。該劇由HBO與Alan Ball自己的製片公司聯合打造。

   故事發生在路易斯安那州的一個小鎮上。由於日本人合成的一種叫做“真血”（TruBlood）的人造血，吸血鬼們可以通過購買的方式獲得血液來維生，因而能夠與人類和平共處共同生活，讓他們的存在為世人所知。 Sookie Stackhouse（Anna Paquin扮演）是個會讀心術的酒吧女招待，她樂意與吸血鬼打交道，因為他們沒有可以讓她窺視的腦電波。而Sookie工作的酒吧老闆也有一個鮮為人知的秘密。某一天，Sookie遇到了命定的愛人——吸血鬼Bill Comton（Stephen Moyer扮演），她的生活就此改變……
