Caribana was introduced to Canada by immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, St.Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines,Guyana, Antigua and Jamaica. Much of the music associated with the event, such as steel pan, soca and calypso SCA and Rock Steady originated from Trinidad and Tobago and other Caribbean islands. Caribana reflects the Carnival events that take place in Trinidad and Tobago, such as the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.

cool photos! really spectacular and it's pretty amazing that they can house so many floats and revelers in the Sambadrome. Love the picture showing the golden couple, really awesome. thanks!
