　　他叫胡介国，是尼日利亚某集团的董事长，2001年尼日利亚大酋长埃米尔正式任命胡介国为当地的酋长，这在尼日利亚的历史上是十分罕见的，也是非洲惟一的华人酋长。那么是什么原因让胡介国能够以中国人的身份成为当地的酋长，被任命为酋长后他有如何履行他的职责呢？

　　李小萌：成为酋长会有什么样的特权呢？

　　胡介国：成为特权，主要说贡献吧，他们有个酋长委员会，就相当于我们的议政，给政府有一些部门提意见，或者他们群众有什么意见，要向政府部门反映，这都是我们的责任。

I wonder if thing could be turned around, i.e. PRC would award a status to an African who live in China and let this honorable person to advise the PRC government on matters related to politics?

Probably in your life, brother.;;)

I think they'll be screaming and protesting that it's an act of interference of China's internal affair. It'll be considered an act of subversive and anti-revolution.

You bet your boots, soldier! Twenty years ago I traveled to Western Samoa, a small island nation in the South Pacific and I found Chinese restaurants there operated by Chinese mainlanders. I chatted with them and they told me their ultimate goal was to move over to the American Samoa and then hopefully someday they could move to the mainland United States.
