由于不满《当今大马》日前就登嘉楼州政权危机所刊登的两篇“你怎么说”（Yousay）文章，首相纳吉恫言起诉这个独立新闻网站。

《当今大马》昨天傍晚接获纳吉的律师信，要求它在48小时内撤回该两篇整汇英文版读者留言的文章，并且无条件道歉，否则将提出诽谤诉讼。

纳吉这次是以个人身份行动，并透过巫统法律顾问哈法立占（Hafarizam Harun）发出这项通牒，针对《当今大马》本月14日在其英文版网页上所刊登的两篇“你怎么说”文章，促请后者撤下有关文章以及承诺此后不再刊登类似文章。

律师信声称，两篇题为“首相种其因，得其果的实例”（‘A case of the PM reaping what he sows’）和“纳吉将花费多少来保住登州政权？”（‘How much will Najib spend to keep Terengganu?’）的文章内容，具有诽谤成分。

这封由哈法立占（右图）所签署的律师信也特别列明，其中的6名《当今大马》读者的留言含有煽动成分。

“《当今大马》读者的留言，除了具有恶意地破坏我们当事人的声誉和形象，也是毫无根据，没有具体证明和非常严重的指控。”& ^) r2 q: u4 H! |3 v* r# h

“他们也企图破坏我们当事人身为国阵政府骨干的声誉。”

要求作无条件道歉

纳吉也是巫统主席。对此，他以个人名誉和巫统，双双要求《当今大马》在48小时内无条件道歉，并撤下上述两篇文章。

Slightly less than three years ago, Najib held an engagement ceremony for his daughter, Nooryana Najwa at his official residence at Seri Perdana on June 17, 2011.

Swipenter: All this has everything to do with the power struggle in Umno that paralysed PM Najib Abdul Razak.

He tried the usual method of trying to win support in Umno Baru by intensifying attacks on the non-Malays and non-Muslims. Umno Baru's strategy was creating an external enemy for Umno Baru to be the champion of the Malays and Islam.

Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad did that successfully when he was squaring off with Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and Musa Hitam in the 1980s.
