There are actually a lot of things to do. But if you have 'zero' dollars, then it's pretty limited.

you can go hiking, camping, BBQ, jogging, cycling, all the land sports

you can do seasports, kayaking, sailing, diving, visit all the outlying islands

then of course, there is the usual shopping, eating, all the indoor stuff. you can even gamble in casino, in race course.

can give example of what cannot be found in Singapore that can be found elsewhere?

JackCh3n: Yes there is alot that cannot be found in Singapore that can be found else where. Example, traditional landmarks which can be found in many countries and these are preserved state land. Those classy old coffee shop, full of them in Malaysia alone. People selling food off the road side, from preparing to selling, see Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.

And yes, you cannot climb mountains in Singapore as there are no mountains unless you consider Bukit Timah to be one..

我觉得如果相望城市生活的话，那新加坡是不错的。

但是因为城市太小了，又人口太多。就感觉没东西做，很闷。

现在周末我都懒得出去，因为要去的地方太拥挤了！！

I heard Singapore people goes to Malaysia all the time, even shopping alone is worth it. But for foriegner, there may be visa problems, and not all that easy.

If you are talking about casino, racing course, universal studio, .... compare USA, Japan, developed countries too far behind.

Certainty, you can compare with many developing countries. As travellers point of view, we look at the attractive points and price performance ratio. When we look at price performance ratio, we should consider other countries. I also agree that singapore got shopping and food but all countries have shopping and food except somewhere like north korea. It is really individual traveller choice, taste and preference. If I go for food and shopping, I will go Tokyo. There are too many things.

Anyway, one thing I knew that Singaporean also go Johor Bahru to shop and eat.

hi everyone
I stay here for 30 yrs

There is a lot of fun with very little budget. One suggestion is taking SG subway "Circle" line. It links all popular tourist spots. e.g. Nicol Highway station. Come up from there you will reach the beautiful riverside. You can walk along and reach Marina Bay.
Clubbing --- SG have many popular disco but expensive too.
SG is tropical country. Food safety is important. But we do have street food e.g. Maxwell food centre and the Telok Aryer Market at Raffle Quay.
Maxwell food centre sells famous chicken rice and local disk at HK$20
Telok Aryer is beautiful place. You can google it and many pictures from it. It sells street food and dinner around HK$50 per head.

visit singapore one time only and it was first time going there but the experience was fantastic but everywhere is boring unless you try to explore it, of course if you are rich everywhere is like heaven

I have been to Singapore once only, there is no need to join any tour as you can easily buy a package of air ticket and hotel in local travel agency or you can buy from online agency. I would say Hainanese chicken rice and laksa is a must try cusine in Singapore. I traveled around the city by taking the Singapore MRT. I had some street food, tai pai dong, sightseeing and I enjoyed the trip there
