【綜合報道】據英國環境署稱，英格蘭西南多個郡和威爾士部分地區遭受風暴帶來的突發性洪災影響已有超過800戶住宅被淹。

Police, coastguard and mountain rescue teams were alerted after a reported sighting of someone falling into the River Annan, in the Everholm area of Annan, in Dumfries and Galloway, at about 6.30pm yesterday.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said boat searches of the river were carried out while a helicopter flew over the area. A shoreline search from Everholm to the river mouth at Solway was also undertaken by police and Moffat Mountain Rescue Team. The teams were stood down for the night as nothing was found.

She said officers were on the scene almost immediately, but there was very little that could be done for the woman and that her injuries were fatal 'almost instantaneously.'

Helston town mayor Jonathan Radford-Gaby said four families were evacuated from their homes near the Cober on Saturday evening as a precautionary measure. But he said the town's property had largely escaped unscathed, despite the concern for life.
He said: 'It appears that most of the more serious flooding was outside Helston. There were some major problems with the roads, the police had to close one of the worst affected, but thankfully it seems that property has escaped the worst of it.'
