弗格森证实，曼联即将签下首位安哥拉球员，24岁的曼努乔-冈卡尔维斯(Manucho Goncalves)将会在代表安哥拉踢完非洲杯后正式加盟红魔。

冈卡尔维斯此前在曼联接受了为期3周试训，在试训期间，他就曾表示希望可以得到曼联的合同，他说：“加盟曼联一直都是我的梦想。C罗纳尔多和纳尼都很欣赏我的能力，我还在一场训练赛中进了球。”

弗格森在赛前的新闻发布会上透露，冈卡尔维斯将会在明年的非洲杯结束后加盟曼联。弗格森说：“曼努乔在我们这里接受了为期3周的试训，他的表现足以使得他获得一份为期3年的合同。他是一名高大敏捷的前锋，奎罗斯在6个月前发现了他并且引起了我们的注意。”

冈卡尔维斯在过去两个赛季是他所在俱乐部Petro de Luanda的头号射手，在2006年他打进16球，而2007年则打进15球。他的加盟将会进一步影响中国球员董方卓在曼联阵中的地位。

曼联首位中国球员和首位安哥拉球员将会为第四前锋的位置展开激烈的争夺。

Man United sign Angolan striker ManuchoSoccernet

Manchester United have signed 24-year-old Angolan forward Manucho following a successful trail with the Premier League champions.

Manucho, whose full name is Mateus Alberto Contreiras Goncalves, will join United from Angolan side Petro Athletico on a three-year deal in January, subject to a work permit.
According to the official Manchester United website Manucho was top goalscorer in the last two seasons of the GiraBola, the Angolan national championship, finishing with 16 goals in 2006 and 15 goals this year.
Sir Alex Ferguson told the United website: 'We have had Manucho here for a three-week trial and have been impressed enough to offer him a three-year contract.
'He is a tall, agile, quick forward and through contacts that Carlos [Queiroz] brought to our attention around six months ago'
Manucho will be part of the Angolan squad for the African Nations Cup in January.
