8 i" C2 N" \2 \3 S# ntvb now,tvbnow,bttvb　　天璋院（てんしょういん·島津篤子→近衛敬子、天保6年12月19日（1836年2月5日）——明治16年（1883年）11月20日）篤姬（あつひめ）是江戶時代後期到明治時代的女性，是江戶幕府13代將軍德川家定的御台所（正室、繼室）。實父是薩摩國（鹿兒島縣）藩主島津家的一門·今和泉領主島津忠剛。幼名是一（かつ）。作了島津齋彬的養女時改名為篤子（あつこ），作了近衛忠熙的養女時改名為敬子（すみこ）。
; J7 M: @. S7 O, o2 |: ^" e　　篤姬生於鹿兒島城下。嘉永6年（1853年）成為了薩摩藩主·島津齋彬的養女，同年從鹿兒島轉到了江戶藩邸。之所以做了表兄齋彬的養女，是為了日後可以為了進入將軍家。在這之前大奧就對島津家提過親。據說大奧此行為目的是，對前前代將軍·德川家齋迎娶了島津家出身的御台所（廣大院）後長壽且子嗣眾多一事的效仿。當時的將軍·德川家定的正室接連死去，而家定自身也體弱多病，連一個子嗣也沒有。
; N! y, d8 M* i  {公仔箱論壇　　一方面，據說篤子是從齋彬處帶著政治使命被送進江戶城的。就將軍的後繼問題，當時幕府分為推崇一橋慶喜（德川慶喜）為次期將軍的一橋派，和推崇紀州慶福（德川家茂）為次期將軍的南紀派，兩派互相對立，齋彬為了讓慶喜繼承將軍而將篤子送入了德川家。但是，與當時是藩主的實子的廣大院相比，篤姬自身只不過是島津家分家的出身，一橋派大名處也有「作為御台所身份也太低了」的置疑的聲音。公仔箱論壇7 @# @) V: ?. Q# [

　　根據勝海舟等人的描述，天璋院對自己一手扶植並確立的將軍候補德川慶喜的關係十分險惡。慶應2年（1866年） 針對慶喜的大奧改革，天璋院與在德川家茂死去之後號稱「靜寬院宮」的和宮一起進行了抵制。另一方面，慶應3年（1867年）由於慶喜對朝廷進行「大政奉還」的直接後果也就是從江戶幕府解散到江戶城無血開成的整個過程中，為了營救德川家和慶喜全力對自己的娘家島津家做工作，同時和宮全力做了朝廷的工作。
