美國著名超模赫德倫（Tippi Hedren）70年代拍完電影《Roar》後，在洛杉磯創立香巴拉野生動物保護區（Shambala Preserve），收容了許多遭受活捉、虐待或是需要幫助的大型貓科動物。Tippi對牠們悉心照料，其中一隻名叫Neil的獅子，更與她一家建立了密切關係，被順服得如小貓一樣，成為寵物及家庭成員。

Tippi Hedren has established a so called Shambala after her movie Roar in California. It is the paradise for wild cats. In this 72 acres land, they live freely and were taken care by the people in Shambala. I believe her house is in the Shambala as well ! I still remembered I watched her to receive her ASPCA’s prestigious Founder’s Award and she said that all of her family members were hurt because of these animals and they do understands that these are wild animals, not pet !
