PETALING JAYA, (Bernama) -- Three national cars, Perodua Myvi, Proton Saga and Proton Inspira today won the Asian Auto Ambank-Fuel Efficiency Awards 2011 in various categories. The new Perodua Myvi 1.3 won the award under the compact city cars category for fuel efficiency 6.2 litres per 100km, the Proton Saga 1.3 (M) for small family cars category (six litres per 100km) and Proton Inspira 2.0 for luxury family cars category (6.2 litres per 100km). A total of 34 car companies participated to vie for 54 awards offered in 18 categories at the event, held for the fourth year. Mercedes Benz C-Class 200 CGI, the new Volvo S60 1.6 Turbo and Audi A4 1.8T won the Asian Auto Ambank - Fuel Efficiency Awards 2011 under the executive cars categories.
