Rio is famous for its breathtaking landscape, its laidback beach culture and well known for soccer, samba and carnival's. Rio de Janeiro is the place to visit if you're seeking a combination of beaches, sports, sun, exotic parks and gardens, and spectacular mountain views, along with  dancing and drinking. Rio has a majestic beauty, as it's nestled between a glorious bay with dazzling beaches and a sharply rising mountain range covered by tropical vegetation. Beaches such as Copacabana and Ipanema, the Christ The Redeemer (Cristo Redentor) statue, atop Corcovado mountain, and named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.The stadium of Maracanã one of the largest football stadium,and Sugar Loaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar) with its cable cars,are all well-known sights of what the inhabitants call the "marvelous city" (cidade maravilhosa), and are also among the first images to pop up in travelers´ minds, along with the Carnaval celebration.
