This just proves the US pre-election slogan of "dig, dig, dig; drill, drill, drill" is all wrong. Its time we invest a lot more on renewable energy.
By the way, if you think its bad for the US, it a calamity for the Caribbean countries along the Mexican Gulf, their tourism industry very much relying on the pristine beaches, beautiful coral reefs and colourful marine life will all be gone if the oil keeps spilling out. Their fishing industry, only in a very small scale when compare with the US, will vanish. These are their livelihood, they can't afford to loose them, and its not even their fault. |
