The Daily Express report today that ManchesterUnited are ready to bring Joe Cole to Old Trafford if he is unable toresolve his contract issues with Chelsea.
Cole is out ofcontract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and is believed tobe worried over his opportunities at Chelsea to play first teamfootball. He is also reportedly eager to secure a 120,000 pound-a-weekcontract.
Tony Banks claims in the Express that "Sir AlexFerguson has been an admirer of Cole for some time and the prospect ofpicking up such an experienced and talented player on the cheap wouldbe an attractive one. United boss Ferguson is looking forreinforcements on the left for Ryan Giggs and Cole, who could beavailable as a free agent, would be a bargain."
ManchesterUnited are expected to face competition from a host of other PremierLeague clubs to sign Cole, including Liverpool, Manchester City andTottenham.
