Arsenal and Liverpool could be in the frame for unhappy Barcelona star Xavi

Xavi, the Spain international voted the best player at Euro 2008,couldbe on his way out of Barcelona after contract talks with theCatalangiants stalled.
The midfielder has had seven meetings with the Barca powerbrokers about a new deal but no offer has yet been made.

Xavi, 28, is paid less than Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Carles Puyol.

He is looking for a significant improvement with any new contractandsource close to Xavi said: 'Barcelona seem to think that because heisCatalan he would never leave the club.
'This is a dangerousand arrogant attitude. He is one of the bestmidfielders in the worldbut Barcelona do not seem to realise his value.'
Xavi's current agreement ends in 2010 but Barcelona do not want to risk  losing their playmaker for nothing.
ArseneWenger would no doubt welcome the prospect of pairing Xavi withhisSpain team-mate Cesc Fabregas. Xavi's arrival would also makeFabregasfeel more  settled.
Liverpool's Rafa Benitez has signed a numberof leading Spanish playersand  the possibility of a central midfieldof Steven Gerrard and Xaviwould interest the Anfield boss.

温格应该不会出手。。他的目标是雅雅图雷。。。他才是能和小法搭档的后腰。。至于萨维。。不太可能
arsenal can't afford his wage is the only reason.
