Champions League - Keane off the mark as Liverpool win

Robbie Keane scored his first goal for Liverpool in a comfortable 3-1 Champions League Group D win over PSV Eindhoven at Anfield.

In the other group match, Atletico Madrid held off Marseille to win 2-1 at the Vicente Calderon.

Liverpool dominated the match and arguably should have scored more and not conceded, as PSV offered very little offensively and were poor defensivelt.
Dirk Kuyt opened the scoring for Liverpool after only four minutes when Andreas Isaksson failed to keep out his low drive following a corner.
Keane doubled the lead half an hour later with a flick from Fernando Torres's excellent cross.
It was the Irishman's first goal for the Reds since joining from Tottenham and the relief on his face was tangible as he celebrated scoring for the club he supported as a boy.
Steven Gerrard put the result beyond doubt with a sweetly-struck 76th-minute free-kick, although Dany Koevermans pulled one back for PSV two minutes later.

All the goals came in the first half as Atletico cemented first place in Group D, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
Sergio Aguero put Atletico ahead with a brilliant take and finish on four minutes.
L'OM levelled on 16 minutes, through a far-post Mamadou Niang header from Laurent Bonnart's cross.
Six minutes later, Raul Garcia got what proved to be the winner for the hosts when he cleverly flicked Mariano Pernia's near-post free-kick in off the post.
Marseille almost levelled late on when Niang fired just wide, but the Spanish side held on for the win.
