包裝食品過了最佳食用日期，是否可以吃？吃了會否影響健康？法例規定包裝食品必須印有保質期標記：「此日期或之前食用」或「此日期前最佳」。前者是關乎食物安全，適用於極易腐壞的食物，例如鮮奶和乳製品，過了期必須下架；後者則關乎食物質素，例如味道，口感，香味和外觀等，如適當儲存，超出這個日期的並不直接表示危害健康。過了「此日期前最佳」食物，有人不吃，有人吃，還有些人特地買來吃，為甚麼？
