LIVERPOOL: Everton agreed to sign Manchester United striker Louis Saha (pic) for an undisclosed fee on Friday.
Saha, 30, has negotiated a two-year contract, with the option for a further year extension and will complete the move to Goodison Park if he passes a medical.
“Everton have agreed a deal to sign Louis Saha from Manchester United,” a statement on the club’s website confirmed.
“The Frenchman is set to sign a two-year deal – with the option for a third year – with the Blues for an undisclosed fee. The move will be completed subject to a medical.”
Saha scored 42 goals in 124 appearances for United, but the France international suffered a series of injuries over the last two years that made him a fringe figure.
Saha will become David Moyes’s third signing this week after the captures of Lars Jacobsen and Segundo Castillo.
United’s decision to let Saha leave could finally signal the arrival of Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov at Old Trafford |
