Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre continues to discuss a move with Bordeaux, and the club’s president Jean-Louis Triaud has not abandoned the idea of bringing him back to France.
United left back Silvestre could leave Old Trafford after almost a decade under Sir Alex Ferguson.
French side Bordeaux, managed by former Red Devil Laurent Blanc, are pushing for the versatile defender’s signature.
The former France international’s wage demands remain high, possibly £150,000 per month, but Les Girondins have not given up hope of signing a very experienced player that would help them compete for the national title and shine in the Champions League.
“We carry on discussing and it’s not over,” Triaud told Le Parisien.
“But other options exist.
“We want to be quick in order to have our full squad as soon as possible.” |
