$ J& {# p9 d8 `不過，有關的「推算」，由於掌握的資料所限，因而是有可能出現誤差的，包括有關方面在計算時，是假設飛機以自動巡航速度即大概350節（約合648公里/時）飛行。而由於按MH370的位置和剩餘的油量，英國空難調查處認為，在偏遠的南印度洋海域中，油量可達範圍內根本沒有可供飛機降落的島嶼，故認為飛機極大可能墜毀，而馬來西亞政府隨後更單方面宣布飛機確認墜毀這個其實是推斷出來的事實。
