衛生部副部長拿督斯里希爾米說，由於我國的意外事件高企，必須增加相關的醫療人員應對。! X* [! R  {! {7 S" k: K
“目前大馬有超過120名急診專科醫生，但人數仍然低至不足以應付全國的意外傷者，特別是交通意外傷者。”
