Blackburn's last visit to Old Trafford in the league saw United run out 4-1 winners, but not before Matt Derbyshire put Rovers in front and Brad Friedel produced a string of fine saves. Friedel often plays out of his skin against the Reds and Blackburn manager Mark Hughes will hope for another strong performance from the American stopper.

Form guide: While all the attention has been on United and Arsenal, Blackburn have crept quietly up the league table. Currently in sixth position, Rovers have lost just once this season and come into this game after keeping Liverpool at bay. United, meanwhile, will need to put the disappointment of dropping two points at the Emirates behind them and get back to winning ways in the league.

To quantify the threat posed by Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford on Sunday, Sir Alex Ferguson believes Mark Hughes’ men could be the team to break the four-strong monopoly at the top of the Premier League.

Blackburn are among the top-flight’s form sides. Rovers are five points behind the Reds with a game in hand. Like United, they have lost just once so far this term, but they remain unbeaten away from home.

They have taken points off Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool already. Mark Hughes’ side are not to be taken lightly.

“Blackburn’s form makes it a really tough game for us on Sunday,” said Sir Alex. “They have been absolutely tremendous this season.

“I think they can challenge the top four,” he added. “What they are showing at the moment is that nobody turns them over. They’ve drawn with Liverpool and Arsenal at home, and going away they are a handful, too.”

Hughes is in his fourth season at Ewood Park, where he has gradually built a team based around his own fundamental principles as a player – physically powerful, determined, but with no shortage of talent.

“Good teams reflect their manager,” says Sir Alex. “You see a lot of Mark in his team at Blackburn. He continually makes the point that they have been badly treated by the media and other managers about how they play. I don’t have any great issue about it.

朗尼呢个时候伤都唔係坏事
佢赛季初的伤养得一般，果时曼联锋线乏力，影响早佢，导致佢比预想中要早咗1-2个礼拜复出
今次再伤，希望佢可以休息足4个星期
而且佢伤得好及时，因为下星期就係欧洲杯外围赛了，所以佢只会缺阵3场联赛+1场无关痛痒的欧联

saha上两场都有替补出场，而且对阿仙奴果场，佢塞给艾华落底果球塞得好靓，可见saha的状态係OK的
至于tevez，佢其实同中前场的攻击线已经磨合完成的，宜家换个锋线搭档，影响实际唔大。毕竟本身saha就係打朗尼的位置的。而saha以前同朗尼搭档时的站位同宜家朗尼搭tevez係一模一样的（可能机动性稍微不如后者，但係saha的活动范围一样係非常大）。所以其实朗尼今次受伤影响係不大，因为我地的对手不强。关键就係希望saha唔好受伤，否则可能真是要董方卓了……
而朗尼今次一定要养好伤，100%OK先好出嚟了。佢脚踝的问题其实都几严重，几乎每年都伤伤，宜家后生就话几星期，等28、29岁的时候可能就係1-2个月了。唔係佢再冒然出场了，毕竟唔希望佢变到好似owen咁！
