State education director Hussin Awang said the 5,030 pupils affected would be notified on the new date of the school session when the flood situation improved.

He said nine of the schools were in Rantau Panjang while two more in Gua Musang and they were cut off as the roads leading to the schools were inundated.

One of the two schools affected in Gua Musang is SK Balar, Hussin told Bernama Monday night.
