yuen siew or 15th day of chinese new year is refer to as chap go mei in My (especially Penang) n Sg. Chap Go Mei is actually in the Hokkien or Tw dialect. In My n Sg the singles celebrates w throwing mand oranges or lanterns on the waters wishing for a yue yee long kuan ( perfect valentine). Is a traditional celebration.
