United and Arsenal lock horns on Saturday as the Reds travel to the Emirates for a mouth-watering top-of-the-table clash. Arsene Wenger's team still haven't lost this season and looked impressive at Anfield last weekend.
Form guide: There's little separating the teams at present, with United flying after four consecutive four-goal hauls and Arsenal unbeaten in 24 games. Both teams are on 26 points with a +15 goal difference, although the Gunners have a greater goals for tally and a game in hand.
Ins and outs: United were rocked this week by the news that Paul Scholes will be out for 12 weeks with knee cartilage damage, although rumours that Rio Ferdinand would miss Saturday's match with a groin injury proved unfounded. Owen Hargreaves should be fit after getting 66 minutes against Middlesbrough last weekend, but Michael Carrick (elbow) may need another week. Arsenal, meanwhile, are without Robin van Persie (knee), while Philippe Senderos (back) may face a late fitness test.
Star men: Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas makes Arsenal tick and he's already chipped in with five league goals this season. United, on the other hand, will look to Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez to continue their goal streak. The pair have netted nine between them in the last five matches. |
