金鼇山是崇明的名勝古跡，風景寶地，位於崇明縣城橋鎮侯家鎮鼇山村，占地面積1.2公頃，與壽安寺比鄰而居。既有古刹之神韻，又有園林之秀麗，堪為崇明休閒之勝地。公仔箱論壇/ C0 U9 N4 k5 z, Q$ P8 m
金鼇山因其歷史悠久，歲月的風雨給它披上了神秘的面紗，許多有關金鼇山的美好傳說一直在傳誦。一說，宋代趙彥衛在《東巡記》中就有金鼇山的敘述：“海上本有金鼇山和柵浦相對，山上有祥符塔院。”又一說，宋代，有一年崇明大旱，禾苗枯死，海中金鼇為救苦難農民，上岸吐水，被雷公辟死。農民為報金鼇吐水之恩，不使其曝屍，紛紛挑土築山，取名金鼇山，並在山旁建廟紀念。再一說，清朝雍正年間，崇明人沈文鎬參加殿試，中了探花回來雇人一夜挑成了金鼇山。
